The first step for installing any app is to log into your Shopify account, go to your Admin, and choose the store you want to customize. Here’s what to do next:
- Click on Settings at the bottom of the page.
- Select the Apps tab. This opens a popup with a list of currently installed apps.
- To view recommended apps for your store, click on “All recommended apps” near the bottom of the box.
- To browse a specific type of app, use the search bar at the top of the box. Type in a few keywords that describe what you’re looking for, like “size charts,” “back in stock alerts,” or “YouTube integration.”
- To see the full range of Shopify apps, you can always click on the link that says “Find more apps in the Shopify App Store.”
When you click on any of the apps, a Shopify App Store page opens with more details on the app. You can check ratings and reviews, pricing, and features. Once you decide to add an app to your store, just click “Install.”

- Use this link to visit the Shopify App Store, or search for the store on your favorite browser.
- Once there, you can look through recommended/trending apps, search for a specific app, or check popular apps by category with the “Browse apps” tab.
- After you find the right app for your needs, click “Install” at the top right. Your Shopify Admin will open automatically.
- Click “Install” in your Shopify account to authorize installation.
Now that the app is installed, you can start setting up its features for your store.

Sometimes, you’re browsing the internet when you come across a perfect solution for your Shopify store. There’s no need to open the App Store. As long as the app is compatible with Shopify, you can follow the developer’s instructions to install it directly.
